Pakistan approves medical use of Chinese vaccine for Covid-19

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday granted emergency use authorization (EUA) to two difference vaccines against Covid-19.

A spokesperson of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan has said that two Coronavirus vaccines have been granted EUA with certain conditions.

Both vaccines were evaluated for their safety and quality  On January 15, a vaccine manufactured by AstraZeneca was given EUA.

In a meeting conducted by the DRAP on January 18, another vaccine manufactured by China National Pharmaceutical Group SinoPharma has also been given the permission for emergency use.

This authorization will be reviewed on quarterly basis keeping in view further data regarding safety, efficacy and quality.
