Pakistan army backs govt’s stance on Kashmir

RAWALPINDI: Top military brass on Tuesday supported the government’s rejection of Indian actions in Kashmir.

Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa held an emergency meeting of the Corps Commanders’ Conference to discuss a single point agenda about the Kashmir conflict, according to ISPR, the media wing of Pakistan army.

“Pakistan never recognized the sham Indian efforts to legalise its occupation of Jammu and Kashmir through article 370 or 35-A decades ago; efforts which have now been revoked by India itself,” it added.

“Pakistan Army firmly stands by the Kashmiris in their just struggle to the very end. We are prepared and shall go to any extent to fulfil our obligations in this regard”, COAS affirmed.
