ISLAMABAD: The death toll from the Coronavirus in Pakistan rose to 6, 654 as another 16 people succumbed to the deadly disease on Sunday.
According to the National Command and Operation Center, 567 people tested positive for the Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
As many as 32,062 people got themselves for the virus and out of them 567 turned out to be infected. So far 307, 069 have recovered from the virus.
In a video statement, President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged the nation to strictly follow the corona related SOPs in view of the resurgence of Covid-19 cases in the country.
“We have won the war against the pandemic to the significant extent and soon the disease will completely be overcome,” he said.
The president emphasized the need for wearing masks in mosques and bazaars keep washing hands properly and observing social distancing so that Pakistan could fully contain the COVID-19.
He said the government’s smart lockdown policy had yielded positive results in overcoming the pandemic.
