National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched an additional humanitarian aid consignment for the people of Palestine.
The 28th relief consignment, comprising 100 tonnes of tents, has been sent with the support of Alkhidmat Foundation following the special directives of the prime minister.
The relief goods were dispatched through a special flight from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore to Al-Arish Egypt for onward delivery to Gaza.
With the dispatch of this latest consignment, the total volume of humanitarian assistance sent to Palestine through 28 consignments has reached 2,727 tonnes.
The sending-off ceremony was attended by Punjab Housing Minister Mian Bilal Yasin while senior officials from NDMA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with representatives of government departments and Alkhidmat Foundation were also present on the occasion.
