ISLAMABAD: The foreign office on Saturday extended “sympathies and condolences” to Greece after an earthquake on Friday afternoon killed more than 14 people and injured over 200 in Turkey and Greece.

“We extend sympathies and condolences to the Govt and people of #Greece over loss of precious lives in #earthquake in island of #Samos. According to US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake struck off of Turkey’s Aegean coast, north of the Greek island of Samos.

USGS added that tremors were felt as far away as Istanbul and Athens.
