Pakistan reports 3,344 Coronavirus cases, 50 deaths

KARACHI: Pakistan reported another 3,344 cases of coronavirus on Monday, taking the nationwide tally to 231, 817.

According to figures updated by the National Command and Control Centre, at least 50 people have lost their lives due to the deadly virus in the past 24 hours.

It brings the number of fatalities in the country to 4, 762.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

As of Monday, there are 94,528 coronavirus cases in Sindh, 81,963 in Punjab, 28,116 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10,814 in Balochistan, 13,494 in Islamabad, 1,561 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,342 in Azad Kashmir.

Furthermore 1,884 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 1,526 in Sindh, 1,028 in KP, 123 in Balochistan, 137 in Islamabad, 28 in GB and 36 in Azad Kashmir.

Pakistan has so far conducted a total of 1,420,623 coronavirus tests and 22,271 of which came in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 131,649 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,406 patients are in critical condition.
