ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded 1,140 new cases on Monday, taking the tally to 32,081 with 706 deaths,
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 10,957 tests were conducted over the last 24 hours and out of which 1140 tested postive.
Punjab and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
There are presently 11,869 coronavirus cases in Punjab, 12,017 in Sindh, 4,875 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,061 in Balochistan, 716 in Islamabad, 457 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 86 in Azad Kashmir.
Recoveries
As many as 8,555 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country. Patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
Federal cabinet to meet
Prime Minister Imran Khan has called a meeting of the federal cabinet to review steps taken by the government to contain the spread of the virus.
The meeting will also discuss the impact of the virus on the economy.
