Pakistan reports 46 deaths, 1,579 new Coronavirus cases

ISLAMABAD: At least 46 people have died from the novel coronavirus in Pakistan over the past 24 hours.

According to latest figures updated by the National Command and Operation Centre, another 1579 people tested positive for the disease, taking total cases to 263, 469.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

As of Sunday, there are 112,118 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 89,793 in Punjab, 31,890 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,424 in Balochistan, 14,576 in Islamabad 1,807 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,888 in Azad Kashmir.

According to the NCOC, 1763 people remain critical while more than 200, 000 people have made full recovery from the virus.
