Planning Minister Asad Umar announced that Pakistan had set a new daily record by administering Covid jabs to 850, 000 people on Wednesday.
Taking to Twitter, Asad Umar wrote: 3rd day in a row a new record for daily vaccination set. 6 lakh 80 thousand, then 7 lakh 78 thousand and yesterday 8 lakh 50 thousand.”
“Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Balochistan and Balochistan all set new daily vaccination records yesterday. Well done Pakistan, but we want to accelerate even more,” he added.

Pakistan for the second consecutive day reported more than 4,000 new coronavirus cases, data from the National Command and Operation Centre showed on Thursday.
As per the NCOC, 59,707 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours out of which 4,497 returned positive. The cases reported today were the highest since April 30.
The new cases takes the nationwide tally of COVID-19 cases to 1,020,324. While, the positivity rate stands at 7.5%.
