ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported another 4,525 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of confirmed cases to 659, 116.
According to latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Centre, 41 people lost their lives due to the disease during the same period.
It also recorded a positivity rate of 11.21 percent.
At least 40, 369 people got tested for Covid-19 and of them 4525 came out positive. More than 3, 000 people are said to be critical condition.
In a special session on Sunday, NCOC ordered a complete ban on marriages (including indoor & Outdoor) from 5th April onwards.
Provinces will be at liberty to implement restrictions in early time frame as per the situation on ground, it said.
All kind of gatherings (indoor / outdoor) will be banned with immediate effect. This will include all social, cultural, political, sports and other events, added the NCOC.
