PM Imran Khan says Sri Lanka can improve connectivity up to South Asia

 

COLOMBO: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday met the Sri Lankan prime minister after arriving in the country on a two-day visit during which he was presented with the guard-of-honour.

Addressing a joint press conference with his Sri Lankan counterpart, PM Imran Khan said his visit was aimed at strengthening the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, especially trade and economic ties.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Mahinda Rajapaksa also held wide-ranging discussions with a focus on reinforcing a broad-based and enduring partnership between the two countries to advance the shared objectives of peace, stability, and economic prosperity in South Asia.

The consultations between the two prime ministers and their delegations were held at the Temple Trees (Prime Minister’s Office) which were followed by delegation-level talks between the two sides.
