PM Imran slams India’s ‘baseless allegations’ of cross-border infiltration

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday took to Twitter to denounce India’s accusations that Pakistani troops were infiltrating into their territory to launch attacks.

“I have been warning the world about India’s continuing efforts to find a pretext for a false flag operation targeting Pakistan. Latest baseless allegations by India of “infiltration” across LoC are a continuation of this dangerous agenda,” he wrote on Twitter.

The prime minister urged the international community to heed his warnings of an Indian false flag operation before it results in disastrous consequences for South Asia.

“The Indigenous Kashmiri resistance against Indian Occupation is a direct consequence of India’s oppression & brutalisation of Kashmiris. The fascist policies of the RSS-BJP combine are fraught with serious risks. The international community must act before India’s reckless moves jeopardise peace & security in South Asia,” he tweeted further.

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Army Chief Gen MM Naravane and other officials have made several allegations over the past couple of days that Pakistan has been operating terrorist launch pads from the Pakistani side of the LoC and attempting to infiltrate the border into the Indian side.

A few days ago, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar had also dismissed Indian allegations of the existance of Pakistani terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC).

“The Indian leadership is making non-serious allegations against Pakistan,” he had said. “India has its own satellites. Tell us, where is the proof?[of the launch pads]” he asked.
