Shahid Kapoor’s film Bloody Daddy to release on June 9

Shahid Kapoor started 2013 with a bang with his web series Farzi which released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. Now his next venture ‘Bloody Daddy’ will be releasing on June 9 directly on the OTT. Helmed by the Ali Abbas Zafar, this project has been the pipeline for quite some time now.  The ace director has many successful action films in his kitty, Sultan (2016), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Bharat (2019). The director is currently in London shooting for next film featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff called Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Bloddy Daddy is said to be a remake of the French movie Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Nights) which was released in 2011.

The poster of the film was revealed on the social media today with the caption “Teaser dropping BLOODY soon.”

Taking about the story a source had revealed to Indian website portal Bollywood Hungama that “The action saga has Shahid playing a father who tries to save his child and involves a lot of blood and gore, so the title suits the film.” He further added, “Shahid will play the cop who tries to save his daughter who gets kidnapped following his tryst with a gangster or drug lord. The film has been altered a bit keeping the Indian mind-set in place.”
