Shehbaz Gill unfit to be SAPM: PFUJ

Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has strongly condemned trolling of women journalists and anchorpersons by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Shehbaz Gill and demanded his resignation as he “habitually trolls women journalists.”

In a joint statement, President PFUJ Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary General Nasir Zaidi called for immediate withdrawal of Shehbaz Gill as SAPM as he has proven time and again to be unfit for the job of SAPM and government spokesman.

They said the job of SAPM and government spokesman is to bride gap between the government and the media for better relations between two important organs of the state instead of widening that gap by attacking and trolling journalists.

PFUJ urged the government to assign such an important position to a person who is suitable for strengthening relations between media and the government.
