Shehroze Kashif, 19, becomes youngest man to scale K2
Shehroze Kashif made history Monday by becoming the youngest Pakistani mountaineer to scale Mount Everest, achieving the feat at the age of 19.
As per an article on Geo News, Kashif scaled the mountain at 8:10am in the morning. His father spoke to the channel, adding that Shehroze Kashif began his journey to international glory a few weeks earlier.
Shehroze Kashif arrived at the base camp on July 14 to summit the 8,611 metres peak, according to his father.
The news was also confirmed by the Alpine Adventure Guides, who confirmed that a Pakistani team has successfully waved the national flag on the top of K2. Multiple teams summit K2 including Kashif, it read.
On May 11 this year, Shehroze Kashif made history when he summited Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, and made Pakistan proud.
He had earned the title of the world’s youngest mountain climber and was only the 5th Pakistani to achieve the feat.
Shehroze Kashif had climbed Mount Everest at 5:05 am that morning. At 8,849 metres, Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world.
