KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday said he has tested positive for Coronavirus.
According to a statement issued by the chief minister’s office, Murad Ali got tested for COVID-19 on Friday after catching a mild fever.
“After the test, I went into isolation on doctor’s advice,” said the chief minister, adding he was asymptomatic.
PTA MNA and renowned scholar Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain also remains hospitalized in Karachi after contracting the virus, his wife tweeted.
Last week, PPP MPA Jam Madad Ali passed away from the pandemic, the first high profile victim of the second wave of the virus.
