KARACHI: The Sindh Police on Monday arrested activists for protesting outside Bilawal House against the Gujjar Nala demolitions.
“Karachi Bachao Tehreek”, a local organisation that speaks for the rights of the people of Karachi, tweeted its members were arrested for taking part in the protest.
Gujjar Nala and Orangi Nala affectees have been on the receiving end of immense police intimidation, leading up to the protest today.
The police have raided the office of one the main organizers – Abid Asghar, and surrounded the area.
