Sindh police arrests activists for protesting outside Bilawal House

KARACHI: The Sindh Police on Monday arrested activists for protesting outside Bilawal House against the Gujjar Nala demolitions.

“Karachi Bachao Tehreek”, a local organisation that speaks for the rights of the people of Karachi, tweeted its members were arrested for taking part in the protest.

One user wondered why journalists were arrested for protesting outside Bilawal House.

“The police are trying to abduct protestors and arrest them. They’re also stealing banners and posters, and trying to intimidate protestors into going home,” wrote another user.
