Suspect arrested in Maham rape case

A tragic incident of the six-year-old Maham’s murder and rape took place in Karachi’s Korangi area. The body was recovered five days ago and the police got in action since the issue was trending on social media and netizens demanded justice for the child.

Murtaza Wahab took it to Twitter to announce the arrest of the suspect after the DNA sample matched. The suspect has now confessed to carrying out the horrendous act.

The girl was kidnapped outside her house at 9 pm according to reports. Her parents then complained about her absence to the police at midnight and the body was recovered the next morning.

The body of the six-year-old was shifted to the hospital for post mortem examination which revealed that the child was raped, sodomized before getting murdered.

There were no CCTV cameras in the nearby area, but eyewitnesses had claimed that they saw the suspect dumping something from a rickshaw from the site where the body was discovered.
