Uzma Khan urges Punjab police to arrest Amber Malik

LAHORE: Uzma Khan has called for the Punjab police to arrest Amber Malik, the woman who is accused of barging into the actor’s house and physically assaulting her and her sister.

The ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2’ actor, who has filed a police complaint, has identified the woman attacker as the daughter of Malik Riaz, the chairman of real estate company Bahria Town.

In a video of the alleged incident, Uzma Khan and her sister Huma can be purportedly seen being threatened by a woman, who is accusing the actor of having an affair with her husband, Usman. In a second video, the woman and a few men could be seen assaulting the two sisters.

In her first statement on the matter, the actor said, “I have been shamed, blackmailed, harassed, been threatened to kill in past 3 days. I have nothing to lose now and I have decided to fight the strongest people of Pakistan. For me it is either I get justice or I will be killed but there is no turning back now. I will fight against daughters (Amber Malik and Pashmina Malik) of Malik Riaz who stormed into my house with 12 gunmen.”

She later registered a police complaint against the attackers. 

Taking to Twitter on Friday morning, Uzma khan wrote: “Punjab Police #ArrestAmberMalik now – ccpo zulfiqar hameed you are known to be independent of all pressure. Plz set a new precedent. No one is above the law.”
