Veteran actress Naila Jaffri passes away after prolonged illness

Veteran Pakistani actress Naila Jaffri has passed away, as per news reports.

Naila Jaffri was battling ovarian cancer for the last six years and passed away Sunday. Naila Jaffri’s prominent roles in a string of hit drama serials such as Aa Mujh Ko Satana, Desi Girls and Thodi Si Khushiyan made her a household name with millions across Pakistan.

A video of Naila Jaffri, shot from her hospital bed, had gone viral on the internet. In the video, she could be seen in a weak condition. After the video went viral, Sindh Culture Minister Sardar Shah said the government will bear Naila Jaffri’s medical expenses.

News of Naila Jaffri’s demise left thousands of fans of the actress sad and people from the world of showbiz expressed their grief as well.
