ISLAMABAD: Federal Science Minister Fawad Chaudhry has been vehemently criticizing senior journalist Ansar Abbasi for his myopic view f Islam.
“It is not a matter of Islamic or non-Islamic, you want to Talibanize Pakistan where minorities and women have no rights and every weaker section is trampled, this process has the support of semi-literate people. Your backward thinking is a threat to the state,” Chaudhry wrote in response to Abbasi’s comments on Twitter.
Sharing his Jang article, Ansar Abbasi said: “If the whole world turns against me for opposing any un-Islamic move in Pakistani society, I don’t care for a moment, but I thank my Almighty God for taking this action from a sinner like me, which is a matter of pride for me.”

The verbal spat between the two began on September 21 when Abbasi objected to a woman exercising on the national television in front of male host.
Abbasi tweeted the video of a woman exercising on national TV, urging Prime Minister Imran Khan to take action against it.
Fawad Chaudhry slammed the journalist, telling him that he needed to opt for “psychic therapy”.
If Even an exercise session and women picture on advertisement boards makes you feel amorous, you really need psychic therapy and advice….. https://t.co/1Xb9tDwr5R
