ISLAMABAD: JUI-F head Maualana Fazlur Rehmab has urged PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari to honor the decisions jointly taken by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Major PDM parties PML-N and PPP have barred their workers and leaders from making statements against each others on Wednesday.
The decision came after Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman spoke to Asif Zardari by phone.
The two leaders discussed the political situation in Pakistan, according to a source privy to the meeting.
The sources said Fazl said all parties of the PDM should respect joint decisions.
The PDM chief reportedly said that according to a joint decision, the seat of the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate belongs to the PML-N.
Fazl hoped that the PPP would respect the joint decisions of the PDM, the sources said.
The two leaders agreed to resolve all issues together and after the intervention of the PDM leadership, both parties stopped their workers and spokespersons from making opposing statements.
