Pakistani actor and former media personality Hamza Ali Abbasi said Sunday that he was cancelling his subscription of the Netflix show after it decided to go ahead and feature the controversial show Cuties! despite worldwide condemnation.
“Despite global condemnation, Netflix still went ahead & released CUTIES! Yup, now we have soft core Pedo Porn on a mainstream media platform. Thats a deal breaker for me. Cant do much but what i can do is Cancel my Netflix subscription, maybe YOU SHOULD TOO! #cutiesnetflix,” he tweeted.

The backlash to the French independent film “Mignonnes,” or “Cuties,” started before it had even been released because of a poster that went viral for its provocative depiction of its young female actors. But the spotlight has only intensified since the film became available on Netflix last week and it has become the target of heightened politicized outrage from members of Congress, including U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, and others online calling for subscribers to #CancelNetflix.
The main criticism on the show is that it is dangerously and irresponsibly promoting the sexualisation of preteens.
