ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistani journalist Arshad Waheed Chaudhry passed away on Saturday from Cronavirus.
The Geo News journalist was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Islamabad after being diagnozed with the deadly disease, according to Geo News.
As his condition worsened, he had been placed on a ventilator.
Chaudhry was the host of Geo News programme “Geo Parliament”, where he would discuss developments pertaining to parliamentary proceedings. He was also a special correspondent for Geo News and a columnist for the Daily Jang.
The senior journalist was also vice president of the National Press Club in Islamabad.
Condolences poured in soon after his demise from journalists, politicians and others whom he had interacted with professionally and personally.
