Junaid Safdar says ‘not interested in Pakistani politics, for now’

Junaid Safdar, the son of the senior vice president of PML-N Maryam Nawaz and grandson of PML-N numero uno Nawaz Sharif has said that he has no interest in politics for now. He made it clear that as of now he won’t be taking part in the elections or any other political activity.

Junaid shared a ‘polite clarification regarding his political career endeavors on his Instagram and asserted that the reason behind him coming back is to ‘be of service to his parents, family and community’.

 

 

He was residing in London with his family and is now in Lahore, Pakistan before the arrival of his mother in the third week of January. Maryam Nawaz is currently gone to Geneva with her father for a week. Interestingly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also gone to Geneva to attend the UN-led donors conference, to appeal to the international community for assistance for post-flood rehabilitation.

Junaid Safdar confirmed the return date of the mother however nothing yet has been said regarding the return of Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.

Junaid holds a double masters degree and has studied at the prestigious Cambridge University and graduated last year.
