Pakistan vs New Zealand second ODI happening in Karachi today

The second ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand is happening at the National Stadium Karachi today. The black caps won the toss and asked the host side to bowl first.

Pakistan is currently leading the three-match series owing to their six-wicket win in the first match. In the second match Naseem Shah strike yet again and got an early wicket of opener Finn Allen (1). Post losing an early, New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson (51*) and opener Devon Conway (52*) seem to have taken the reigns back in their hands and are going steady so far in the match with scoring a half century each.

In the last match, Pakistan outplayed New Zealand in all departments. Bowler Naseem Shah was the star of the show for getting a five-wicket haul 5-57 and was declared man of the match. Spinner Usama Mir also got his dream debut and got two wickets on the day, the first one being the New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.

In the batting department, while the New Zealand side seemed to be struggling with no player managing to score big runs, Mohammad Rizwan (77*), skipper Babar Azam (66) and Fakhar Zaman (56) sealed Pakistan’s victory with 11 balls remaining

In today’s match Pakistan’s squad remain unchanged which means the newly appointed vice-captain Shan Masood still awaits a match while the New Zealand team has replaced fast bowler Henry Shipley with seasoned spinner Ish Sodhi.

New Zealand has currently scored 131/1 in 23 overs.
