Pakistan welcomes OIC rejection of Indian actions in IOK

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has welcomed a statement form the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, strongly condemning and rejecting Indian government’s illegal actions to redefine domicile rules to alter Occupied Kashmir’s demography.

In a tweet yesterday, Foreign Office spokesperson, Aisha Farooqui said the Indian actions had violated UN resolutions, Geneva convention, international and humanitarian law.

Quoting the OIC statement, Aisha Farooqui said, since 5 Aug last year, India, despite widespread int’l condemnation from the United Nations (UN) OIC and other human rights bodies, has been continuing to pursue systematic persecution of Kashmiri Muslims through vicious political, economic and communication blockade in Occupied Kashmir.
