Pakistan’s Ahsan Ayaz wins Squash tournament in Sweden

Pakistan’s Ahsan Ayaz defeated fellow countryman Zeeshan Khan to win the $1,000 Strom 2 Abdel Wahed Squash Open 2019 at Sweden.

Pakistan’s top seed Ahsan Ayaz started off on a high note by defeating Zeeshan in the first game 11-8. He then went on to win the second game 11-5.

Ahsan managed to edge out Zeeshan in the third game as well but had to earn his victory as the final score read 11-9.

Ahsan Ayaz is 20 years old and hails from Peshawar. He has been playing squash for more than five years now. He won his first major tournament at the age of 12.

Coached by Victor Monserrat at the Barcelona Squash Academy, Ahsan has managed to garner immense success at an early age.

He is also the winner of the 2016 Malaysian Tour IV Championship and ISAM Pro Open 2016. Pakistan’s top seed, he is ranked 100 in the world.

Ahsan Ayaz will next be seen in the $5000 Cronimet Swedish Squash Open in March.
