WASHINGTON: A group comprising leading IT professionals called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Embassy of Pakistan in Washington DC.
The group included Mr. Imran ul Haq Khan, Mr. Hashmat Malik, Mr. Hassan Ahmad, Mr. Dilawar Syed, Mr. Rehan Jalil, Mr. Salman Akhter and Mr. Mansoor Khan, according to a government press release.
The group exchanged views on strengthening academic institutions, Research and Development, development of standards institutions including in technology field, training for IT Technicians and Engineers and Vocational training in IT field.
The Prime Minister informed that development of IT is amongst highest priorities of the Government. This sector entails huge job opportunities for the youth, added the Prime Minister.
The PM pledged all possible support by Government institutions for developing a robust IT sector.
