ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday expressed grief over the demise of renowned comedian Amanullah Khan.
“Late Amanullah was a valuable assets for the stage, comedy and drama industry,” PM Khan said in a statement.
He also prayed for peace of the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Known as “King of Comedy”, Amanullah was born in 1950 and breather his last on Saturday at age of 70 due to the lungs and kidney diseases.
Separately, Dr Arif Alvi voiced his grief over the death of the iconic comedian.
“The services of late Amanullah in the field of comedy and acting would be remembered forever,” the president remarked.
He prayed to Allah Almighty for peace of the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear the loss with equanimity.
