Prince Harry to attend King Charles coronation sans wife Megan Markle
Prince Harry will be flying down solo to the UK to attend the coronation of his father King Charles III and Queen Camilla from Los Angeles. His wife and kids will be staying back and Megan will be celebrating Prince Archie’s birthday during the weekend.
The Buckingham Palace has released a statement on Wednesday and confirmed the presence of the Prince of Sussex for the event slated to happen on May 6. “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet,” read the statement.
It was reported last month of March 5, that an invitation has been extended to Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle to attend the coronation though their attendance was not confirmed. In a statement, the couple’s spokesperson said, “I can confirm The Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the coronation. An immediate decision on whether The Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.”
The coronation will have a three-day celebration including a concert at the Windsor Castle and a volunteer day, however, Prince Harry won’t be attending all the events surrounding the coronation.
