BIARRITZ: US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he raised the issue of Kashmir with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Kashmir last night.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the ongoing G7 Summit in French city of Biarritz on Monday.
“We spoke last night about Kashmir. Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) really feels he has it under control. They speak with Pakistan and I’m sure that they will be able to do something,” Trump told media persons after meeting Modi.
Speaking on this occasion, Indian PM Modi said all issues between India and Pakistan were bilateral in nature.
“India and Pakistan were together before the 1947 partition and I’m confident that we can discuss our problems and solve them together,” Modi said.
Modi further said that he called Prime Minister Imran Khan after elections and told him to join hands to fight poverty and other issues.
