Bus carrying Chinese workers plunges into ravine killing 12
According to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, earlier today, a bus carrying Chinese workers in the KPK province heading towards a worksite, plunged into a ravine after a blast occurred due to a gas leakage (a mechanical fault).
Nine Chinese nationals and three Pakistanis lost their lives. Chinese workers and accompanying Pakistani staff were proceeding to their workplace for an ongoing project, report.
The local authorities are providing all sorts of aid required in the best possible way they could.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with the Chinese Embassy for all coordination and facilitation. The Government of Pakistan has extended its condolences to the Chinese workers’ families and Pakistani workers who have lost their lives in this incident. Furthermore, prayers for the injured were also added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared their views on the Pakistan-China friendship and called Chinese their brothers and also assured safety for the Chinese nationals who are working for the development of Pakistan.
