US ambassador visits IBA’s CED to endorse startup landscape

KARACHI: United States Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome visited the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) for a networking meeting.

The ambassador was received by the CED Director Dr Lalarukh Ejaz and IBA Executive Director Dr S Akbar Zaidi who provided a overview of the institute.

Mr Blome was briefed on the Centre’s various programmes and initiatives and also met with and engaged with founders of some notable startups of IBA-CED.

The US ambassador was accompanied by the US Consul General in Karachi Conrad Tribble and Public Affairs Officer Lee McManis and others. Director, IBA-CED, Dr Lalarukh Ejaz presented a compelling overview of the center’s programs and initiatives.

The ambassador enthusiastically engaged in discussions with founders of several notable startups of IBA-CED, including Valeem, Logexcourier, Get Go Rides, Khud Muhafiz, and winners of IBA-CED’s GreenEnovate Waste Management Challenge Royella Trading, and Dominator Bio Tech. He commended their work and appreciated their vision behind the startups.
