ISLAMABAD: Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar has again warned that Pakistan will lose lives and livelihoods if people don’t follow government’s guidelines in a bid to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Asad Umar pointed out that the daily covid mortality rate was at 12 last week.
“This is a 140% increase vs few weeks back. We are collectively committing a blunder by recklessly ignoring all sop’s & the results have started to show,” he said.
“If we do not change our current path we will lose both lives and livelihoods,” the minister warned.
Meanwhile, the overall death toll from the virus rose to 6, 659 with addition of five more people in the last 24 hours. Another 440 people have tested positive in the country.
