Zahir Jaffer’s judicial remand extended

A judicial magistrate extended the remand of accused Zahir Jaffer till August 30 in the Noor Mukaddam case.

Police had submitted a request asking for permission to conduct the DNA tests of two employees of Jaffer, Raheel, and Iftikhar who were presented in the court from Adiala Jail.

Six employees of the Therapy Work, a counseling and psychotherapy center were arrested by the police in Islamabad. They are to be presented in the court as police will request for an extension in their remand as well.

The six employees of the therapy center were arrested as they were accused of hiding evidence after meeting Zakir Jaffer. They were accused by the plaintiff in a supplementary statement. They were arrested on August 14.

The murder crime

Noor, 27, was murdered in Islamabad in the F-7 area as per police reports.

She was the daughter of Shaukat Muakddam who served as Pakistan’s ambassador to South Korea and Kazakhstan.

The Islamabad police arrested Zahir, the accused on the night of 30th July from his house, the same place where he killed her with a sharp instrument and beheaded her, according to Noor’s parents.
