The uncertainty that had remained over the PSL6 after the Abu Dhabi government had asked the Indian broadcasters’ team to leave the hotel over breach of Covid SOPs, was cleared on Thursday as the PCB announced the tournament will begin from June 9.
The remaining 20 matches of PSL6 are to start from 9 June after the Abu Dhabi government relaxed the Quarantine period from 10 days to 7 days. The tournament will consist of 6 double-headers with one doubleheader including the play-offs. The first match on the day of the Double-header will start at 6 pm local time (5 pm Abu Dhabi time) and the second match to start at 11 pm local time (10 pm Abu Dhabi time).
Almost all the players participating in the league have finished their Quarantine period and Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United teams have started their practice at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, more teams will start practicing as the Quarantine periods come to an end.
The Pakistan Cricket team is supposed to depart for the England tour on the 25th June, with one batch of officials and players departing on the 23rd June and the second batch to depart on 25th June, the first ODI will take place on the 8th July in Cardiff, and the team will arrive in Cardiff on the 6th July after the completion of the Quarantine period.
