PM Imran tweets video of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters criticising Indian citizenship law
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday tweeted a video of Pink Floyd co-founder and singer Roger Waters criticising Indian Prime Minister Modi and his “fascist, racist” law.
The video clip features Waters at an event in London where he criticises the Indian government for the recent CAA protests. Calling the law ‘fascist’ and ‘racist’, Waters read a poem from Delhi activist Aamir Aziz which read:-
“Everything will be remembered.
Killers, we will become ghosts
and write of your killings,
with all the evidence.
You write jokes in courts,
we will write justice on the walls.
We will speak so loudly that
even the deaf will hear.
We will write so clearly that
even the blind will read.
You write injustice on the earth,
We will write revolution in the sky.”
Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted the video, urging the world to “stand up on the right side of history”.
When musicians who have all their lives rallied for peace, start taking notice of the massacres in India, it is time the world must stand up and take notice. Stand up on the right side of history. pic.twitter.com/WdYv4YBSmT

The contentious Indian citizenship law has triggered protests in New Delhi. On Sunday, while President Trump was in India, protests broke out resulting in clashes with police which caused the deaths of more than 20 people.
