PSL 8 remaining matches to happen as per schedule says PCB

Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8’s match is slated to happen today between the defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans in Lahore. Owing to the chaotic situation in Lahore over Imran Khan’s arrest, rumours were rife that the match would be postponed however, we have now been given the clarity that the match will happen as per schedule. Both the teams had to cancel their practice session yesterday (Tuesday) due to the political situation of the city.

PCB took to Twitter and announced that the match will happen today as per the plan and no changes will be made. The match will start at 7pm.

After the league stage matches ended, the teams that have qualified to the play-offs are Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad United. The winner of today’s match will qualify directly to the final while the losing side will get one more chance to fix a spot in the final by playing an eliminator match on Friday.

The other two teams, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will be playing the second play-off match tomorrow, Thursday, 16th March at 7:00 pm.

Najam Sethi took to Twitter and appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for ‘smooth traffic flow and security’.

The final of the PSL is slated to happen on Sunday, March 19.
