Stephanie McMahon resigns from WWE, Vince McMahon rejoins as the chairman

The McMahon family and World Wrestling Entertainment are synonymous to one another. The entire family has been a part of the WWE higher management for decades. Last year Vince McMahon has to give up his position as the CEO and Chairman of the company owing to some allegations of misconduct against him. Stephanie McMahon had stepped into the shoes of her father post his exit.

Now, as per the latest development, Stephanie has resigned from her position and shared the news on Twitter with the caption, “Then. Now. Forever. Together”. She described her position in the company as ‘an opportunity of a lifetime’. Being the biggest fan of WWE, she also said, “I look forward to cheering on WWE from the other side of the business, where I started when I was a little kid, as a pure fan.”

Upon Stephanie stepping down from her position, WWE had elected former chairman Vince McMahon as the executive chairman of the board. Additionally former board members Michelle Wilson and George Barrios have also been re-instated in the company. Nick Khan has now become the solo CEO of the company, earlier he used to share this position with Stephanie. WWE Hall of Famer and Stephanie’s husband Paul Levesque better known as “Triple H” will still be a part of the management and continue with his role of building weekly storylines.

The wrestling mogul, Vince McMahon, who has played an integral part in the growth of the company and run WWE for almost four decades had said that with the growing demand for content it is important that returned to the company and would now explore alternative strategies to cater to the expanding audience.
