‘Decision to close schools will be taken after education ministers meeting on Nov 23’

KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani on Saturday tweeted that the final decision on whether or not schools across the province will be closed will be taken during the education ministers meeting, which is scheduled to take place on November 23, 2020.

“The educational steering committee’s meeting today was a consultative meeting where the recommendations of the federal government were discussed with committee member in detail,” he tweeted.

تعلیمی اسٹیئرنگ کمیٹی کا آج ہونے والا اجلاس ایک مشاورتی اجلاس تھا جسمیں وفاقی حکومت کی دی گئی تجاویز پر ارکان سے تفصیلی مشاورت کی گئی۔ تعلیمی اداروں کو بند کرنے یا نہ کرنے کا فیصلہ سندھ حکومت، محکمہ صحت کی مشاورت اور وفاقی حکومت کے 23 نومبر کو ہونے والے اجلاس کے بعد کیا جائیگا۔

He further said that the decision to close or not close the schools will be taken in the November 23 meeting which will again be chaired by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood.
