PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz on Sunday said that she had told former prime minister Nawaz Sharif not to return to Pakistan as there was no humanity in the incumbent government since no official informed her of her grandmother’s passing.
Taking to Twitter, Maryam said that no government official had the ‘humanity’ in him/her to inform the PML-N vice president about the passing of Begum Shamim Akhtar, the mother of Nawaz Sharif.
Begum Shamim passed away in London, she was 89 years old. She had been staying at the Avenfield Apartments with her elder son, Nawaz Sharif, and died on Sunday.
The PML-N said arrangements were being made to shift her body to Pakistan for the funeral and burial.
