As India unilaterally revoked Article 370 of the constitution that granted special status to the disputed Jammu and Kashmir province, Pakistani celebrities took to Twitter to condemn their actions against humanity.
Everyone from Hareem Farooq to Mahira Khan came forward and slammed the Modi government for its blatant abuse of human rights in the disputed territory.
Here are a few tweets from Pakistani celebrities who voiced their support for the people of Kashmir.
What the hell is going on?
Will anyone in the world dare ask why #Kashmir is not a major human rights concern for the world?
God knows Indian government has done it's best to make it headlines news in the last year with it's atrocities!!#KashmirBleedshttps://t.co/t6l8a7UNPw— Reham Khan (@RehamKhan1) August 4, 2019
Kashmiris must be given their due rights as per #UN resolution. The rights of Freedom like all of us. Why was @UN created & why is it sleeping? The unprovoked aggression & crimes being committed in Kashmir against #Humanity must be noted. The @POTUS must play his role to mediate

What kind of democracy silences an entire state, puts restrictions on its people, jeapordizes their safety, spreads panic, chaos and enforces a communication blackout?
I demand that the voices of Kashmiris be heard.
For God's sake. Where is the humanity.— Osman Khalid Butt (@aClockworkObi) August 5, 2019
Have we conveniently blocked what we don’t want to address? This is beyond lines drawn on sand, it’s about innocent lives being lost! Heaven is burning and we silently weep. #Istandwithkashmir #kashmirbleeds

Where is UNHRC?
It’s inhumane. #Kashmir
Do we live in such dark times ?Countless conventions to protect human lives? What about all the rights & rules we are taught in the books? Do they mean anything? #SaveLivesinKashmir #KashmirBleed @UN @UNICEF_Pakistan— MAWRA HOCANE (@MawraHocane) August 4, 2019
The use of cluster bombs in Kashmir is in clear violation of the Geneva Convention. There is no justification for it whatsoever. These are simple war crimes – the world has to wake up and put a stop to these atrocities NOW! #SaveKashmirSOS #KashmirBleeds
